I designed and created this box for the Out-of-the-Box auction/Arts Alive, a fundraising event for Akron Area Arts Alliance. It is made from recycled wool sweaters, handmade felt, glass beads, pearle cotton embroidery floss, and wool embroidery yarn. The inside is lined with cotton.

The hat is made with hand felted wool and hand knitted and felted I-cords. The bird is also hand felted. The feathers are real, as are the twigs in the bird's nest. The leaves are hand felted, embroidered, and beaded.
Won Best of Show at the Greater Cleveland Art and Gallery Festival, September, 2006.
